Thank you Dr. Sam and Joe for this opportunity of a lifetime. I'm going to be a sponge and absorb every single moment of this trip!

Nomination was made

Dr. Sam sent my name in to Dr. Baust!! It's official now!!! I get to go!!!!!! We leave in early July!! Some of the fun things we will be doing is touring the BMW plant in Munich and attending the opera "Tosca" at the Bregenzer Festspiele with the Vienna Symphony! We will also spend a night on the top of a mountain, Silvretta, and we'll visit what is left of a glacier.

The Waiting Game

Dr. Sam has had two letters from Joe about the trip. She says to wait for word on the next step. Janice got me this wonderful bag for Christmas to carry on the trip. Lots of storage and easy to carry. It is perfect for travel.

I can't believe my passport

is here!!! In a little over two

weeks it was in my mailbox!

that is helping me to learn some basics.
It's tough trying to learn a new language
when the old one is so dominant in our minds.
Hope I can learn enough to get around the
city of Bregenz.
