On Wednesday we traveled by canoe down the Cumberland River to Neville Bay. It was an all day trip from Bard Lake at Brandon Spring to NB. We stopped along the way for lunch in one of the bays on the river and also visited the Stewart Cemetary hidden in the woods. It was a perfect day.

Summer Institute

Our first morning at Brandon was foggy. The front had moved in and the temperature dropped drastically. The entire week was absolutely perfect. That was answered prayer for me. It was a week of wonderful memories.

The days are counting away very quickly now. Today is May 18th. Just a little over a month and a half to go!! Logan just left for Estes Park and his summer job. He started his own blog so that his friends and family can see what's up with him this summer. He's going to be climbing a lot. I'm going to be taking classes and traveling all that I can. I'm so excited! Summer Institute will be here before I know it. I can't wait for the fun we'll be having there. I love Brandon Spring!!

Weisse Taube

Several of us are going to Salzburg on our free weekend. I made our reservation last night for two nights in this fabulous city! Jill, Jackie, Rebecca and myself are going to take the train to a weekend of adventure!

Loads of Paperwork

There is a lot of paper work to take care of and I'm almost finished with what needs to be done. I have one more document to send to Joe and then I'm good. Another step in the process almost complete.

Orientation was Thursday, March 13th. We got to meet most of those who are going with us. We look like a mostly female group. We also got our housing assignments for the two weeks. There's still a lot to be done with paperwork to fill out and more passport like photos to be made. I need to get busy.

I've been working hard on getting the ball rolling at the middle school with the Green and Healthy Schools program. As soon as I can get a good group of Enviromental Club kids together we'll be ready to start our first inventory.

For now it's bedtime!

Orientation

Our orientation is next week! Joe sent out a letter to all who are participating and we will meet at his office on Thursday, March 13th to fill out paperwork and hear what we need to know about traveling abroad. This is so exciting. Jill and I are hoping that we can room together.
